SAKU HOUSE
長野県の住宅の計画である。
敷地は高速IC近くの田畑に囲まれた美しい緑があふれる小さな集落に位置している。施主は首都圏から移住予定の夫婦で、まずは夏の家として住まいを利用する予定であった。また、将来的には次世代へ引き継げるような、住まい手や住まい方の変化も受け入れられるような住宅が求められた。
美しい緑の環境の中に多様な生活が可能な大きな切妻屋根の住宅を考えた。この住宅は前面の庭に対して開かれた、三面ガラス張りの開放的なリビングスペースと、寝室・風呂トイレ・倉庫などの機能的な部屋を納めたボリュームから構成される。切妻屋根とボリュームの間にできるロフトスペースは、吹き抜けを介してリビングスペースとつながり、普段は作業や読書の場所として、来客時にはゲストルームとして使用できるフレキシブルな空間となっている。またリビングスペースは地域の隣人を招き入れたり、友人らを呼んでパーティーができるような、開かれた場所にもなる。
住宅の中の３つの空間に、それぞれの特徴を持たせることで、多様な使い方や過ごし方に対応が可能な住まいを目指した。
This is a residential project in Nagano Prefecture.
The site is located within a small rural settlement surrounded by lush fields and abundant greenery near a highway interchange. The clients—a couple planning to relocate from the Tokyo metropolitan area—initially intended to use the house as a summer residence. At the same time, they sought a home that could adapt to changing lifestyles and be passed on to future generations.
In response, we conceived a large gable-roofed house that allows for diverse ways of living within a verdant landscape. The house consists of an open living space with three glazed façades that faces the front garden, and a compact volume that contains more functional rooms such as bedrooms, bath and toilet, and storage. The loft space formed between the gable roof and this volume is connected to the living space through a double-height void, serving as a flexible room used for work or reading in daily life, and as a guest room when visitors stay. The living area also becomes an open space for inviting neighbors in the community or hosting gatherings with friends.
By giving each of the three spatial zones its own distinct character, the house aims to accommodate multiple modes of living and a variety of ways of spending time.
